Eric & Kari Rush , Koontz Lake, opened their home and love to Eric’s
younger
siblings Misty, in 11th grade, Mick, in 9th grade, Cody, a 7th grader, and
his father, Charlie
about 5 years, ago. And took care of Charlie until his death last
December. Eric’s mother
is not in the picture and has not been for for at least 5 years. Before
that time she was in and
out of their lives.
Along with Eric’s siblings, they also, took guardianship of a niece,
Angela a 3rd grader now, when she was 3 years old and in need of help.
Angela is now 9 years old.
Eric and Kari have three children, Hunter in Kindergarten, Justin 4 yrs
old, and their
three month old baby, Trenton.
Trenton, was born with a medical condition. His knees were dislocated to
the place where the feet were pointed almost backwards. Kari has taken
Trenton to Riley Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis every Wednesday since
birth until recently. He had been in casts most of his life until
recently, he is now starting therapy, but has to wear special shoes with a
brace for his club foot.
This family of seven children and four adults live in a very small home.
The kitchen is very small, hardly enough room to turn around.
Kari’s mother and farther at this time have medical issues, so they are
caring for them in their home as well. Kari’s mother, Debbie and her
father, Tom are able to help with the
care of the children somewhat.
The children attend John Glenn High School, Urey Middle School, Walkerton
Elementary School and are good students.
Mrs. Deb Mosson, counselor at John Glenn High School, gave us information
on this
family. She said the family needs counseling as they are dealing with the
loss of their father
and the changes in their lives. She felt this young family would really
benefit, with some extra finances to help out and Mrs. Janet Carey, Urey
Middle School principal.
Please remember this family in your prayers.
